We are two months into our 2015/2016 Lobster season. Our 6pm-11pm Local Twilight Harbor trips have started out on the slow side. This El Nino year has brought unseasonably warm water to our local coast causing not only our trips to be slow but the commercial guys are also struggling. Look for this to improve as we get further into winter.
With that being said we have focused our attention to Catalina Island as much as possible for Lobster and the Hooping is phenomenal! At the Island we are able to get down to the cold water by fishing deeper and it’s been GREAT! This past week we have had numerous days with Limits of Lobster to 8lbs! In fact, one night last week the Gail Force had over 100 legal Lobster in one 10 hoop set!
