Report from 1/20/14 – 1/26/14…

After a brutaly slow start to the week it’s been nice to be back in the grove of grinding away at the bugs in the Long Beach harbor. We’ve had anywhere between 10 and 20 bugs every night in the recent days.

It’s been all about timing and getting on an area that hasn’t been hammered in recent days. Seals are a night by night deal with most nights having them all over our gear.

Quality is still great with the average lobster around 2-3lbs. We have not had to many over 10lbs in recent weeks but still plenty of 6 to 8 pounders coming over the rail!

The Gail Force has plenty of open spots available this week (Monday thru Thursday). We depart Pierpoint Landing in Long Beach nightly at 6pm for Twilight Lobster Hoop Netting. Cost is $65 per person and we provide all the gear you need to catch these tastey critters.

Next chance to get on the Gail Force and on the Bugs is next Monday (1/13), Wednesday (1/14) and Thursday (1/15). These trips fill fast, don’t wait until the last minute or you will miss your chance to Hoop up these tasty critters.
